Child Support Case1

Under the Child Care & Support Project, Maitri is currently supporting the treatment of a two-years-old child diagnosed with a high-risk form of cancer. The child is undergoing ongoing medical treatment that requires significant financial resources. The family is facing immense emotional and financial strain, and continued treatment is critical for the child’s recovery.

Maitri has verified this case through trusted contacts and is extending community support to help the family continue the child’s treatment journey.

To ensure trust and accountability:

• Funds are collected only for medical treatment and related expenses

About the patient 

2 years and 2 months old boy named Shoccho Debnath was diagnosed with B-cell precursor Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL), a high-risk blood cancer

Medical Update

Shoccho has been admitted to EverCare Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh, since November 18, 2025. He is currently undergoing BFM-2009 protocol, which includes chemotherapy, IT and MRD. After Induction 1A, the treatment phase is now running with Induction 1B, with 2 more remaining phases. The good news is that this cancer is curable, with a success rate of around 90%, but the treatment is long and extremely expensive

Why need help

Evercare is one of the most expensive hospital in Bangladesh, and family despite using all their earnings and lifetime savings, unable to bear the full cost alone. With folded hands, I am reaching out to Maitri for financial support and prayers
